Moving on to the product description, the hygger 979 Efficient Dual Filter is the highlight. This filter combines biofiltration and mechanical filtration to deliver sparkly clear water in less than 24 hours. Its powerful motor also provides constant water circulation and oxygenation, creating a healthier turtle living environment. Quick water change is an extra feature.

The 2-stage filtration fulfills both bio and mechanical filtration needs. The powerful motor ensures constant water flow, blowing away turtle debris back to the filter. The result is filter-out sparkly clear water, allowing you to quickly change dirty water out.

For best results, the filter must be submerged with the bottom chamber where the motor is mounted. The water intake consists of small holes along the bottom, so using a small sand tank should be avoided to prevent clogging. The filter can handle ultra-low water levels and adsorb impurities.

Included in the package are bio balls of varying sizes, promoting the growth of healthy and useful bacteria for biological filtration. Replace the bio balls as needed. Two reusable filter sponges are also provided, making cleaning and maintenance easy.
